Khobz dar (Homemade bread)

Bread is the main ingredient of any Algerian table. We have hundreds of bread varieties! All of them amazing in taste! I have selected the easiest one here:

Ingredients:

4 servings –

1 cup warm milk

2 1/2 cups all purpose flour

3 tbs instant yeast

1 tbs sugar

1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon salt
1 egg yolk

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Add 1 cup warm milk to a bowl

2. Add a tbs sugar to the milk

3. Add yeast

4. add 1/2 cup flour

5. stir for 3 minutes

6. cover and let rest for 5 mnts

7. Add oil

8. Add salt

9. Add the rest of flour

10. Stir with a wooden spoon until dough starts to form. It should be soft and firm

11. Transfer dough to a working surface. Use a rolling pin and roll to half an inch. Form the bread shape into one circle

12. transfer to a backing sheet. Add egg wash and nigella seeds

13. preheat oven to 390

14. Bake bread in the oven until golden.
